Following God’s Plan For Your Life!

TEXT:

1 Cor. 2:9-12 "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither entered into the heart of man the things God has prepared for those who love him. 10 But God Has Revealed Them Unto Us by His Spirit..."

11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.”

2 Tim. 1:6 AMP "That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my hands."

When Believers become disinterested in church, and have lost the Fire of God in their lives for the Things of God, it is because they either have no awareness of a God Ordained Purpose for their lives, or they have Lost Sight Of It and it has become dormant. The Shift in Their Focus has Dulled Down their God Connection! As a result, going to church and serving God has become Routine and Lifeless.

How does this happen? A lack of time in the Word and Fellowship with God! As God's Spirit Continues to be Poured Out upon the earth, God is Calling The Body Of Christ to Awake, and Fully Realize their Purpose, Potential, and God Ordained Position in this last Day Harvest!

My Future is Not in what I am saying to God, but it's in what He Is Saying To Me! It doesn't matter How Insignificant You Think You Are, God Needs Your Supply! It's Our Job to Follow God's Instructions, it's His job to Do the Supernatural!

Acts 16:6-10 "Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia.

7 After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them."

v. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

I. PRAYER IS THE PLACE WHERE THE PLAN OF GOD IS REVEALED & CULTIVATED.

Eph. 1:18 CEV "My prayer is that Light will Flood Your Hearts and You Will Understand the hope given to you when God Chose You. Then you will discover the glorious blessings that will be yours together with all God's people."

Eph. 1:17 Phil. Trans. "Praying that God " will give you Spiritual Wisdom and the Insight..., by which comes the Knowledge of Him."

When the eyes of our understanding (heart) are enlightened, that's the Moment We begin to Know!

Ps. 119: 130 "The entrance of Your Words give light. It gives Understanding to the simple."

We will not find the plan of God with the natural eye, and we will not hear of it with the natural ear; but it's in the Spirit, in our Heart. There we will both See and Hear what God has planned for Our Lives!

1We Must be People of Prayer We can't just Talk about Him, We Must get to Know Him!

II. THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT A FEELING, BUT A SENSE, OR PERCEPTION. ( Read Rom. 8:14,16 )

Acts 27:10,11,13,14,41 " I Perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage."

1Reasoning things out with your mind Will Keep You from Following Your Heart. Reasoning can become the Thief of the Plan of God for Your Life!

In Acts 16:6-10 The Spirit of God instructed Paul to pass certain places he wanted to preach, and led him according to the will of God. We need to Keep Our Spiritual Antenna's Up looking inward to our Hearts, in order not to miss the Supernatural leading while looking at the Outward things!

ex. Jesus said in Mk. 16:15, "GO into all the world and preach the Gospel..". So Paul could have overridden every leading of the H.S not to preach in Asia.

1 Cor. 2:14 "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

1 Cor.2:14 TPT “Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can’t understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit.”

The things of God are spiritually discerned. (Recognized, or understood)

Wms. Trans. " An unspiritual man does not except the things the Spirit of God teaches, for they are nonsense to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are appreciated (understood) by Spiritual insight;

If everything God wants you to do has to pass through a Board Meeting of your mind, then Much of Gods Plan would be Stopped! If Paul had ignored the 1st two leadings of the Spirit, he probably would have Missed the Vision.

Too often Christians when they do receive direction from God, they mix that revelation with their own feelings and thinking. Don’t let heart desires color God’s Word to you. We need to Wait on God Long Enough to sift out Human Emotion and Thoughts. It's so important not to be moved by feelings good or bad; But rather Look Deep In Your Spirit to See What is Really in there.

Jn. 16:13 says, "he will show you things to come."

In my own life when the natural hasn’t yet come in line with what God has previously shown me, and I begin to question, He says, “What's in your spirit about this?”

Things that God has put in your Heart will just keep coming back up to you. They'll Keep Re-Surfacing until you Do it! I had a desire to meet with apastor in Kenya. When he came to a meeting in the U.S. we met. While we were talking Spirit of God came all over the conversation! Seven years later he started a TV Channel in Africa asking me to be one of the Broadcasters, which the channel reaches a potential audience of 150 million people every day!

Jn. 5:19 Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do;”

Jesus didn't literally see the Father healing or speaking into someone's life, but rather would be inspired of the Father, Seeing Himself doing the Will of the father towards people. Then He would Act Out what he saw.

Many times in my own ministry I would see myself minister a certain way or do certain things in a prayer line, then act it out, and Gods power and presence would be manifested. Sometimes a week or two before I was scheduled to minister in several meetings, I would see myself holding a healing service and people were getting Heal all over the church. When I started the meeting, I announced a healing meeting for one of the nights and healings would take place just like I saw in prayer!

III. DON'T STOP AT THE "WHAT" OF GOD'S PLAN, BUT CONTINUE ON TO THE "HOW"OF GOD'S PLAN!

Isaiah 55:8-11 God has "thoughts" and "ways."

Isa. 55:8-9 TLB "This plan of mine is not what you would work out, neither are my thoughts the same as yours! 9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than yours, and my thoughts than yours."

Isa. 55:10, 11 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, 11. "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."

If God's plan is to prosper in our lives, it must be done According to His Ways.

Rom. 10:8 says, "But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):

God’s Calling to you comes by the Holy Spirit in your heart, or spirit. According to Rom. 10:8 the Word that God has spoken to your heart concerning His Call upon your life should be in your MOUTH for it to prosper! The Plan of God should be fulfilled by God's power and direction, not through the flesh and mental reasoning.

Zechariah 4:6 "So he answered and said to me: This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts."

If I could Do Everything I thought God was telling me to do with my natural abilities alone, I would question whether I was even following God's plan at all!

Col. 1:29 “Where unto I also labor, striving according to HIS working, which works in Me Mightily.”

Rotherham Trans. says, “Unto which I am even toiling, Contending According to His energy which is Ever Energizing itself in Me with Power.”

You Need to Own this if you Expect it to Work for You!

Rom. 12:11 says, “Never lag in zeal {and} in earnest endeavor; be aglow {and} burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord.”

Alt. Trans. reads, “Not Tiring in Zeal; Fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.”

IV. DOING THE PLAN OF GOD FOR OUR LIVES.

Every Step in God is a Step of Faith!

Acts 13:2-4. "As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 4. "So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, THEY WENT..."

You've got to be willing to risk Total failure if you are going to follow God's plan for your life. If you are afraid to step out, you won't. Often it seems for you, a step into the Unknown.

Heb 11:8 BBE says, “By faith Abraham did as God said when he was ordered to go out into a place which was to be given to him as a heritage, and went out Without Knowledge of where he was going.”

You have to Be Willing To Do Today what others won't do... So you can Have the things tomorrow, that others won't have!

Phil 1:24,25 “But to remain in my body is more needful {and} essential for your sake. 25. Since I am convinced of this, I know that I shall remain and stay by you all, to Promote your Progress and Joy in Believing,”

You must Believe that Following Gods plan will bear Good fruit!

God is saying, "It's Time to Step Out of the small places, and Step Into the large places Believing What God Said!"

God Won't Give You More Light About His Plan Until You Obey and Do the things that He has Already instructed! (Paul obeyed God - Gal. 2:1,2)

When it comes to Discovering Gods Power, you have to Step Out to Find Out!" Often times with Christians, when things they've had in their heart hasn't come to pass for years, they'll say, "I guess this isn't going to happen!"

Remember, You Expect What You Have Come To Believe! Ask God to stir up, bring back to Life the dreams He has placed in your heart! You Have To Cooperate with God if you want to Receive From God! It's my job to Follow God's instructions, it's His job to Do the Supernatural!
